What steel does UNIVEST use?
UNIVEST uses TATA cold-rolled (CR) steel sheet for its listed steel furniture.
What is the difference between 0.65 mm and 0.80 mm steel sheet?
0.65 mm is our standard specification and the basis for published approximate weights. The heavier 0.80 mm option is made to order where the application calls for it.
Are the displayed product weights exact?
No. They are approximate weights for products made in 0.65 mm sheet and can vary with dimensions, layout, fittings and manufacturing tolerances.
What is the difference between Cam Lock and Maruti Lock?
Cam Lock is supplied with a selectable external handle. Maruti Lock is the handle-free option.
Which handles are available with Cam Lock?
Choose Stainless Steel in Silver, White Metal in Rose Gold, or Black, subject to current availability.
Which colours are kept in regular stock?
For office and library products, Alligator Dark Grey and Alligator Brown Coffee are regular stock colours; other colours are made to order. Ask our team about current stock for other categories.
Can dimensions and internal layouts be customised?
Yes, subject to technical feasibility, minimum quantities and quotation. Share room measurements, intended use and preferred internal layout.
Are UNIVEST wardrobes termite- and moisture-resistant?
Steel is not eaten by termites. Powder coating helps protect the surface, but products should still be kept dry and away from standing water or corrosive chemicals.
How should powder-coated steel furniture be cleaned?
Use a soft damp cloth and mild soap, then wipe dry. Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents and prolonged water exposure.
Do you manufacture school and factory lockers?
Yes. We manufacture customised locker systems for schools, factories, hostels, gyms and workplaces.
Do you undertake bulk office or institutional orders?
Yes. Aggarwal Steel Industries supplies bulk steel furniture for offices, schools, libraries, factories and other institutions.
Can sliding wardrobes and steel kitchens be customised?
Yes. Sliding wardrobes and steel kitchen cabinets are planned around site measurements, storage needs, finish choices and installation conditions.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Share the model or furniture type, quantity, installation city, dimensions, sheet thickness, lock, handle, colour and any layout changes.

How do I choose the correct wardrobe dimensions?
Measure clear height, width and depth in three places, note skirting and switches, allow door clearance, and list the hanging, shelf and drawer space you need.
